The 62-mile Dorset Coast Path passes less than a mile away and runs from the edge of Poole Harbour at nearby Studland to Lyme Regis (at which point it becomes the South Devon Coast Path and continues on to Cornwall).
The Coast Path may be the shortest in Britain, but it’s far from an easy stroll: Dorset’s coastline is both steep and rocky. Inland, however, there is plenty of fine walking country, and several useful guides have been published recommending attractive routes.
Indeed, the Bond has produced its own selection of 12 walks from 2 ½ miles in length.
